Exciting times at RepTylers!

We have finally launched our new project, ‘Little Explorers’. RepTylers will be working closely with St.Lawrence Primary School in Hurstpierpoint as they have very kindly agreed be our first school to offer this to their children.

What is ‘Little Explorers’?

Little Explorers will give children of all ages the opportunity to learn about the smaller creatures that live amongst us as well as meet some of RepTylers’ more exotic, and sometimes larger, mini-beasts! The programme, designed by Luke Tyler, has an element of handling but also a real insight to what insects do for our planet, how they live/survive and where to find them.

“The programme has primarily been designed for after school clubs but we hope to offer this to other areas of education such as school visits, disability/youth groups and also birthday parties.” As our followers know, RepTylers, We Bring The Zoo To You, have been operating as an animal handling company for 11yrs and we felt that it was time to add something new and exciting to our programmes.” – L.Tyler (Co-Owner)

Children will have the opportunity meet creepy crawlies such as stick insects, cockroaches, millipedes, snails and more exotic bugs such as the Assasin Leaf bugs! For the braver audience there will be opportunities to meet scorpions and tarantulas! Also, our Little Explorers will be have the chance to show how creative they are by making their own Ladybird homes for the winter, designing bee drinking dishes and also, during photography week, they will be able to capture some of the amazing insects here in the UK and RepTylers’ more exotic offerings.

Our team have all been advised accordingly on the delivery of our new project and as usual all staff are DBS checked, first aid trained and have experience working with children and animals.

If your school is offering this club to you, please follow the link below to book your child’s place.

Exciting News

RepTylers launch new shop!

shop-pic

RepTylers, friends and family have been working hard for the last 2 months designing and revamping a shop in the Preston Park area, initially as a rehousing project for all our wonderful animals. The Amazon like refit in South Road, Brighton will be home to over 60 animals.

Only a select few animals will be housed in the shop front with the majority of the exotics living out the back in a purpose built reptile house. With this in mind, the shop hasn’t been designed for people to walk in and handle our animals, however anyone is welcome to visit us, have a look around, check out our select few animals housed at the front and talk to us about your needs.

RepTylers have been operating since June 2014 and have introduced our animals to an estimated 40,000 children and adults through school visits, birthdays, scouts/cubs groups, fundraisers and nursery/playschools. This next chapter of our adventure will now give parents and other groups a cheaper alternative to our usual packages by booking our facility and mini zoo.
